Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered treasury bills (T-bills) at a total value of EGP 35 billion through two auctions on Monday, 9 January.
The first issue stood at EGP 13.50 billion and will mature in 91 days on 11 April 2023, according to official data.
Valued at EGP 21.50 billion, the second offering carries a tenor of 273 days until 10 October this year.
Moreover, the central bank auctioned zero-coupon treasury bonds (T-bonds) worth EGP 1.50 billion through one tranche, holding a 1.5-year maturity period until 2 July 2024.
On 5 January, the CBE offered T-bills at an aggregated value of EGP 43.50 billion through two issues.
